Food To Avoid For Clearer Skin

Did you know that what you eat directly affects whether or not you get acne?!

It's true. After many many years of suffering from acne I found this truth out. Some food causes acne. Some don't cause acne. Some fight against acne.

But it took me many years to find out this and apply it to my life so that I would no longer suffer from acne.

So what food causes the worst acne?

Vegetable oil!

This specific type of oil is a common ingredient in modern food. It is found in some sauces like pasta sauce and curry sauces. Not all but some. So check the ingredients label before buying these sauces. Vegetable oil is also found in a lot of junk food like cookies (biscuits) and chips (crisps), not to mention as a cooking oil.

Eliminate vegetable oil from your diet.

But why does vegetable oil cause acne?

It causes homonal imbalance that leads to serious inflammation and results in acne. Vegetable oil is actually the cause of your worst acne, so cutting it out of your diet will get rid of those really nasty cysts.

I personally experienced an amazing clear up after 'quitting' vegetable oil. I suggest you do the same. First, find out as much as you can about it. Find out which foods you eat contain vegetable oil. Find alternatives to ones with vegetable oil in it. And watch as your skin clears up.

Natural Facial Peel - Your Natural Acne Treatment

Facial peels are a way to remove acne, acne scars, wrinkles, age spots, and other skin surface problems, but before you go and pay $99 to $299 for your next chemical facial peel from a spa or doctors office, here's some facts about the horrific dangers of these procedures, and more importantly what the safe, natural and more effective alternative may be...

A chemical facial peel is the process of a doctor, or esthetician applying a burning acid to your face and neck. Facial peels are a fruit acid that literally burns the dead skin off your face so a new layer of skin can take it's place.

The problem with fruit acid peels is that acid is insensitive to dead and living cells. It can't tell the difference between cells that are actually dead, and need to be removed from the face and the living, acive and growing cells that, if burned can cause permanent scarring, inflammation, and other painful side effects.

Acid peels do just what they promise to do, they literally burn the skin. the dead skin on the surface of your face is called the corneum. Underneath the corneum is a layer of the skin called the basal cell layer. The basal cell layer is a layer of skin where new skin cells are born and actively growing. If too much damage is done to this precious layer of skin visible scarring can occur.

Acid facial peels are insensitive to this layer of skin. Although they do remove the corneum they can, and often do burn some of the basal cell layer. When acid is applied to the face you literally attack the skin, and the basal cells, feeling the attack, clump together in a desperate attempt to heal the skin quickly. This clumping together of the cells is how scarring occurs.

So what's the alternative?

Well, there are several. Microdermabrasion, though less effective, irritating, abrasive to the skin and does not completely remove the corneum layer of the skin. Jessner Peel, Bio-Medic "Micropeel", Microdermabrasion, Ob agi Blue Peel, Vibrodermabrasion, Crystal Peels, and many others still require that patients sign a "consent form" attesting that you are aware of and understand the risks involved in these procedures...These techniques are injury by design which is not the natural process of skin renewal.

An all natural heat and moisture sensitive enzyme, which removes 100% of the corneum in under 10 minutes is now available on the market. Called the New You Skin Rejuvenating System, it is derived from the all natural aloe vera plant. This enzyme shies away from cells that still contain heat and moisture - signs of life, and instead bond only to dead, dry and "cold" cells on your face. The dead skin literally falls off your face right in front of your eyes and onto the counter in front of you.

Because this enzyme does absolutely no damage to the skin, causes no redness, scarring, heat sensitivity or other scary side effects of facial peels it is completely safe for home use and can be used by anyone regardless of skin type or sensitivity.

So before you spend any more money on invasive procedures that cause damaging side effects look into other methods that may be a more natural and safe alternative to invasive procedures.

Get Rid of Acne: 3.5 Super Fast Ways Get Rid of Acne Naturally

Is there going to be another day with an embarrassing look at yourself on the mirror and an extremely dull day with a low level of confidence?

Teenager and adults both suffer from Acne. There is no possible explanation to how Acne occurs, but there are possible treatments to get rid of acne.

Although dermatologists have come up with solutions to get rid of acne, there are thousands of complaints going around that the treatments are not permanent.

Unless you want to risk yourself to a laser treatment, I can assure that there is no guarantee that medical treatments can get rid of acne permanently without any side effects.

Why do you want to waste your money and your life on a totally risky situation? Do you think using different chemicals on your skin all the time is a safe game?

Has the thought ever occur to you that these chemicals could probably be worsening the situation instead of reducing it?

Don’t worry my friend, you will be safe now.

Acne comes naturally to almost to everybody at one time or another, so why not get rid of acne NATURALLY as well?

I am going to outline 4 simple ways to get rid of acne naturally and if you follow them as advised, there is no way you cannot get an acne free skin in a very short time.

# Using Honey Masks.

I keep repeating this over and over again to my colleagues and friends. There is no better way to get rid of acne naturally than the very natural substance called HONEY. Yes, that’s right.

Simply applying Honey on the skin as a mask for 10 minutes everyday will make a huge to your infected areas. In less than a week, you will notice you skin getting more and more clearer by the DAY!

# Using Apricot Juice

I wanted to sell this idea to others but I want to help you so I will say this. Apricot Juice has a special power in it that can literally cut off any whiteheads, blackheads, cysts and zits. I call it the laser treatment, because fights with your acne like laser. This is a very powerful way to get rid of acne naturally.

# Using Toothpaste.

I can’t stress enough the ultimate power of Toothpaste when applied on your skin. If you think I am joking, then ask yourself the following question;

“If toothpaste can be used to get rid of the bacteria in the teeth, why can’t it be used to get rid of bacteria on the skin?”

The theory is simple, and it has worked for millions who tried it. The trick is to use toothpaste with extra mint. This will make your bacteria scream to death and literally push the pimples and other decorations back to where it came from.

Do not try this if you have sensitive skin.

This is supposed to a natural trick to get rid of pimples overnight, but an overnight treatment for pimples can be a three day or four day treatment to get rid of the big boss called Acne.

So far I have mentioned three ways to get rid of acne naturally. These three tips are more than enough to change your life upside down in a good way, but I shall tell you one more way to get rid of acne but this is not for the faint hearted.

# Using Alcohol Rubbing

This is a very strong method to get rid of acne, and you need to be able to bear a little sting if you want to follow this method.

Take a Q-Tip and dip it in rubbing alcohol, then apply on the infected areas on the skin. It will sting, but hey, No Pain, No Gain.

So I have told you four ways to get rid of acne naturally. If you follow this plan, you are guaranteed to get an acne free skin in the least time possible, but how to make it permanent?

## DRINKING WATER! If you drink a minimum of 10 glasses a day, I can guarantee you an acne free skin for the rest of your life.

I can’t tell you how fast you will see results because it depends on how much you want to get rid of acne. The harder you fight with it, the faster it will accept defeat and run away.

How to Get Rid of Scars and Cuts Left by Acne

So you popped a zit, it starts to bleed, and then it turns into a wee scratch. To top it off, a few days later you have this little dry scab. Well, here are some ways to prevent the rupturing of Acne, and a bit of aid in the healing of popping-induced scars.

Steps

  1. Stop popping! It's tempting, but honestly, it make things worse. If you absolutely must pop, make sure that the area (and your fingers) are clean and disinfected. After you pop, gently clean the area with warm water and a washcloth, then cover the popped pimple with ice for a minute or two. This will reduce the swelling. With a cleaner pop, and a smaller area to infect, you greatly reduce your chances of getting a scab or scar.
  2. Keep with your regular acne treatments. Continue your twice-a-day face washes and applications of astringent. If you don't have a very regulated method of treating and preventing acne, then it's time to start one.
  3. Keep in mind that moisturizing isn't always best. In all honesty, you want these little scratches and scabs to stay dry. This, in a sense, causes the scab to wither away and fall off on its own, which reduces scratching and irritation—thus reducing scars.
  4. Allow to heal naturally. Sometimes, the best method of dealing with acne scars and cuts is just to let your body do the works. Keep the irritated area clean and dry, and use as little make-up on the area as possible.

Tips

  • Avoid touching your face. Your hands can transfer additional oil and dirt to an infected area.
  • Scars tend to be more noticeable on pale skin. You can combat this with a safe self-tanner (not to be confused with tanning booths and/or sun-tanning, which are unhealthy for your skin). You could also buy a natural redness-countering concealer.
  • Neosporin is ideal for speeding up healing time thus causing lesser scarring. There is also Neosporin Scar Solution.

Warnings

  • Picking at the scabs and scars will only make things worse.
  • If your acne ruptures even when you don't touch it, you need to see a dermatologist. Bleeding or excessive acne is not natural, and may be the result of an infection or allergies. Get treatment as soon as possible.
  • Acne is caused by a bacterial infections - more times than not. So understand that popping zits only spreads the infection.
  • Do not use Neosporin if you are allergic to it!

How to Get Rid of a Pimple

While there are ways to avoid acne on the whole, there are also times when you get that one pimple in the worst imaginable spot, and you feel like you're walking around with a giant bulls-eye on your face. Well, here's how you can single out that one pesky zit and make it disappear ASAP.

Steps

  1. Do not touch or pop the pimple. It will only make the pimple more obvious and risk infection and scarring. Instead, take up the following routine, twice a day, until it disappears.
  2. Wash your hands thoroughly before you begin to touch your face.
  3. Wash your face gently but thoroughly with a mild, medicated soap and warm water.
    • The water shouldn't feel hot, and lukewarm is a little too cool.
    • Do not use a washcloth, as the scrubbing action could pick up and distribute bacteria to other parts of your face. It is best to use your hands.
    • Wash for about 30 seconds.
  4. Pat your skin dry with a towel.
  5. Apply a benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid topical cream on the pimple. If the spot is under the surface of the skin and hurts to the touch, use benzoyl peroxide. Salicylic Acid should work well for all other acne spots.
  6. After topical treatment is dry, apply a basic face moisturizer (preferably allergy-tested, fragrance free, and oil free). Without moisturizing, the skin around the pimple can dry and irritate your skin, possibly making the pimple more inflamed and noticeable.
  7. Cover the pimple with medicated concealer (optional).
  8. Learn how to prevent acne in the first place, so that you stop that next monster pimple before it even starts.

Tips

  • Wear sunblock (oil-free) when you go out on a sunny day. Since pimples are raw skin, sunburn will only make it worse.
  • Hands off your face! Do not touch or pick at your spot, this will not help it to go away faster.
  • Homeopathic alternatives include tea tree oil, baking soda paste (mix with a little water, apply and let dry), and witchhazel.

Warnings

  • 2.5% to 5% Benzoyl-Peroxide Solutions are sufficient; 10% or higher can irritate the skin and exacerbate the problem.
  • Don't use rubbing alcohol. It will sting like crazy and dry and irritate your skin.
  • One should cleanse, gently exfoliate, and moisturize one's skin twice daily. Go to an expert for a skin consultation to find out what strength of soap and clarifying lotion you should be using for your skin type.

How to Avoid Acne

Common acne (aka "acne vulgaris") is a skin condition characterized by what are often called pimples or zits. It can occur anywhere on the body and at any age, though it typically affects teenagers on the face and back. You can take steps to avoid and prevent acne, as well as keeping yourself healthy and presentable, by doing the following.

Steps

  1. Remove dead skin cells regularly by exfoliating. Use an abrasive cloth or scrub, or use an over-the-counter chemical exfoliant like salicylic acid and glycolic acid. Remember that over-exfoliating can actually increase the likelihood of red, dry skin by irritating the skin.
  2. Remove bacteria from your pores. Your skin can become "allergic" to this bacteria. Use bactericidal products containing benzoyl peroxide by rubbing, twice daily, into the pores over the affected region or washing with a medicated soap bar/wash. Keep in mind that this may cause dryness, local irritation and redness.
  3. Avoid exposing your skin to other sources of oil and irritants.

    • Break the habit of touching your face.
    • Keep bangs off of your forehead--the oil and the hair products (if any) can clog pores.
    • If you use a phone a lot, don't let it touch your face.
    • Change your pillowcases and sheets once a week to prevent the build-up of oils and bacteria that can re-occupy your pores.
    • Use non-comedogenic moisturizers and makeup. Choose cosmetics that are water-based and hypoallergenic. Avoid oil-free products, coal tar derivatives, and heavy creams. Make sure you wash your skin thoroughly every night to remove makeup residue.
  4. Review your diet and the research surrounding the links between diet and acne. The relationship between food and acne is a debatable topic. Your diet may or may not have an effect on acne.

    • Studies have shown a correlation between milk and acne. Try substituting with soy milk and other calcium-rich foods.
    • Excessive consumption of foods high in iodine (e.g. some seafood) may worsen acne but probably won't trigger it
    • Research suggests--but does not prove--that a diet with a low glycemic index may reduce the likelihood of acne. High glycemic foods to replace with healthier alternatives include:

      • soft drinks (drink water instead)
      • sweets (substitute with fruit)
      • white bread (replace with whole wheat bread)
  5. Remove other potential causes of acne. Some factors, such as being in puberty, can't be altered, but these can, with the approval of your doctor:

  6. Try asking a skin doctor also known as a dermatologist about your acne
    • Minimize use of medication containing halogens (iodides, chlorides, bromides), lithium, barbiturates, or androgens
  7. Keep your bedsheets clean. Wash your pillow case on a regular schedule to reduce the transfer of natural body oils.
  8. Wash your face at least two times a day. Use face washes such as Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash or other face washes.
  9. There are no perfect creams or medicines that make your face smooth, soft and acne-free.

Tips

  • Watch your diet and observe the effects it has on your skin. Whatever science has to say, every body is different and how yours responds to certain conditions can best be determined by you alone. As with any common condition, keeping your body hydrated is sound advice.
  • Sometimes the best way of taking care of this condition is by doing it naturally, as in using natural products. Recommended are some such as : Witch Hazel, to be applied with a cotton swab after washing face. Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Body Soap, which because of its Tea Tree elements, can reduce pimples on the face quite well if used at least twice a day.
  • Neutrogena is a good product that can prevent or treat acne! it is sold at any drugstore.
  • If you can afford it, I highly reccomend this place called Skinprint (I don't know where all of the branches are but there is one in Red Bank, New Jersey) They mix a face wash, moisterizer, and other products that are perfect for your skin, they test it in the beginning. The only problem is it's expensive, but it's worth it.

Warnings

  • Do not make any drastic changes in your diet or skin routine without first consulting a medical professional.
  • Anything beyond very gentle cleansing can actually worsen existing lesions and even encourage new ones by damaging or overdrying skin.
  • You should only scrub your face if you have no existing pimples. Scrub lightly; avoid scrubbing too much or with too much pressure.
  • Benzoyl peroxide can have a bleaching effect on clothes and hair. It may also increases sensitivity to the sun, so you might find that you burn faster!

How to Get Rid of Acne

Acne is a broad term covering blemishes, blackheads and whiteheads. This condition can strike at any age. While there are many preventative measures you can take to avoid acne with good results, here's how to treat existing acne so that it disappears.

Steps

  1. Stop popping the pimples and zits. This will only risk encouraging your acne to stay due to inflammation, irritation, and possibly infection. If a pimple comes up in a particularly bothersome place, learn how to target a single pimple. And if you're determined to pop, learn how to pop a pimple safely and properly.
  2. Remove dead skin cells regularly by exfoliating. Use a gentle scrub with natural exfoliants like ground walnut shells, or use an over-the-counter chemical exfoliant like salicylic acid and glycolic acid. Remember that over-exfoliating can actually increase the likelihood of acne by irritating the skin. Pat dry, rather than rubbing, since rubbing can cause irritation to the fresh, skin you've just revealed.
  3. Use a good toner. Spray onto face or wipe on with a cotton ball and wipe off with a clean, dry cotton ball. This gets rid of excess cleanser and tightens pores. Good, inexpensive choices include plain witch hazel for normal to dry skin, or 3% hydrogen peroxide for oily skin. 70% ethyl rubbing alcohol can also be used for severe oiliness, but it can really dry out your skin and irritate it more. Some toners are medicated, too, and this stage is the best stage for using a medicated product if you're only going to use one medication.
  4. Bacteria in pores is one cause of pimples. Reduce the amount of bacteria by using toners containing anti-bacterial agents like alcohol, peroxide and benzalkonium chloride, and by using creams that contain benzoyl peroxide, which kill bacteria as well as cause the skin to regenerate faster.
  5. Maintain a routine. Most acne treatments take time to work. It usually takes between two and eight weeks before you see any significant improvement, so you are going to have to be patient. Once you've gotten your acne cleared up, it's important to continue with the treatment that's working so it does not return.
  6. If all else fails, contact your GP. They may be able to prescribe specific mild antibiotics that can eliminate acne.

Tips

  • Acne medications may cause your skin to initially break out worse than before because all FDA-approved acne medications (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and sulfur) are causing your skin to regenerate faster. This brings existing acne pimples already under your skin (but not visible yet) to the surface, which in turn causes a massive but fortunately temporary break out. Give the medications about one to two weeks and you will notice a big difference in the quality of your skin.
  • See a dermatolagist if over the counter remedies do not work. They specialize in skin care and can prescribe you medicines that help you improve it.
  • Don't stress out! Stressing out can only makes acne worse. Find ways to stay calm in your life.
  • Drink plenty of water. Staying well hydrated can help your condition improve, because the "waste management" control system in your body requires a lot of water to do its job. Without enough water, the body has difficulty removing some waste products efficiently.
  • Look for face washes which contain the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide. This is the key ingredient in some of the best face washes. use a 5-10% benzoyl peroxide of mild to moderate acne and 10% for severe.
  • Try smashing one tablet of asprin in a small bowl, then adding lemon juice to the mixture. Apply to the affected areas overnight. It boosts the healing process, while reducing redness.
  • Try putting toothpaste (paste NOT gel) on your face, cover it with a bandage and keep it on all night, when you wash it off in the morning your acne will look better. The astringent and surfactant nature of the toothpaste will help diminish the appearance of pimples. But the toothpaste has been known to burn sensitive skin of the face, so be careful. If your face does burn, stop acne treatments, and work on healing your burn.
  • If nothing is working for you, drink four tablespoons of apple cider vinegar diluted with water daily. It works very well for some people and is worth a try.
  • You can also try taking a Zinc tablet everyday.
  • Phototherapy or blue-light therapy is an increasingly common form of treating facial or body acne. It uses light that interact with porphyrins in skin bacteria to reduce bacteria production and rectify acne. Many dermatologists use this form of treatment in a clinic setting, but it can be costly and time consuming. Health Canada recently approved a new product that has the same therapeutic effect, but it can be administered by the individual.

Warnings

  • Whilst getting a mild facial sunburn can help get rid of acne by accelerating the removal of pimpled skin and thus forcing the body to generate more skin faster, this increases the risk of skin cancer considerably.
  • Do not use too many different types of acne medication at the same time. It can cause more irritation and increase your acne.
  • Consult a doctor if your acne is open or bleeding.
  • Benzoyl peroxide-based products can (and usually eventually do) bleach hair and fabrics. Be extremely careful using them around brightly colored or dark colored fabrics, as you can end up with ruined towels and shirts.
  • Make sure you are not allergic to products/ingredients mentioned in this article before using them.
  • Be careful with what prescriptions you take! Some oral prescriptions can cause irreversible liver damage. Talk to your doctor or dermatologist before taking them.
  • Don't buy multi-step "activ" style solutions. If you read the labels, they contain the same active ingredients that other over-the-counter acne medications contain: salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or sulfur.
  • If you try using toothpaste, be warned as the burns can leave worse marks

Cure acne - get rid of pimples

You do not get acne from chocolate or strong spices. Or, yes, you will get acne from chocolate, but not because you eat it. You get pimples because you touch yourself in the face when you eat chocolate. When you poke around in your face with dirty fingers - you might have a habit of leaning your head against your hand or stroke your chin when you think - you are massaging bacteria and dirt into sensitive pores which will then turn into pimples.
You could also suffer from acne as a symptom of (usually) intestinal problems. If you get pimples in symmetrical patterns in your face, especially along the jawlines, it can be either a symptom of IBS - Irritated Bowel Syndrome - colon irritabile, that you stress to much and thus upset your stomach, or that you eat things that aren't good for you - or all of those alternatives. The article on heartburn might help you put a stop to such acne.

Follow these advises in order to get rid of pimples:
  • Stop touching your face. See to that areas where you have acne aren't covered or irritated by shirt-collars or caps - especially not dirty such.
  • Do not dry out the skin. Do not wash your skin with dehydrating anti-acne solutions. Such solutions cause the skin to produce more fat which in turns increases the risk of blocking the skin's pores.
  • Wash your face with pure water only - do not use soap or alcohol based solutions. Do not rinse your face with cold water after shaving in order to "close the pores" - let them breathe instead.
  • Do not shave yourself the wrong way. Shave in the same direction as the hairs grow. If you shave in the opposite direction you will cut off small pieces of the skin which is lifted up with the hairs. The sore skin will then probably get infected - it's far better with bristles than red pus-filled spots.
  • Carefully squeeze pus-filled pimples. It's more likely that you will get worse scars from suppurations that are left to heal for themselves than from cleaned out "craters". Do use lots of disinfectants though and powder the wound with non-scented baby powder or similar in order to keep it dry and clean.
  • Use a skin lotion which contains carbamide in order to keep your skin moisturized after you washed yourself. Carbamide tunes your skin's moisture balance in a natural way. Eventually you could mix in some weak cortisone-gel if your skin is irritated.
  • Sunbathe. Adequate exposure to the sun helps the body to create vitamin D which is good for the immune system.
  • Exercise and take a sauna. The skin needs to sweat - don't be afraid of that - in order to get clean in depth.
Follow the advices above and you will most likely have much less trouble with acne and pimples. It's never necessary to spend large sums on miracle promising anti-acne cures - none of them work other than that they temporarily dehydrate the skin which will eventually worsen your problems.
And remember - the pimple is always worst in the mirror you are looking in.

Popping Pimples – DIY Guidelines

Many of us want to pop our pimples the moment we see them on our face or other parts of the skin. You need not always wait for your pimples to burst out without giving you due advice, you may initiae to pop them. Though popping pimples is not recommended, it does not mean you can’t do it on your own.

It’s quite easy but there are important things to note. Here are some guidelines that you have to observe when you have to pop pimples.
Considerably the most important thing to note is know which pimples can be popped. If your pimples are not ready yet, leave them alone and wait until they are “ripe” for popping. For a red bump type of pimple, you may pop it only when you see yellowish-white pus directly underneath the skin surface.

Popping pimples before this condition can definitely spell disaster to your skin. When the pus and dirt combine to form a blackhead, this type of pimples must be removed using a blackhead remover to safely remove them. As for whiteheads, the ones with white top and liquid pus under the surface may be popped.

Below are steps on popping pimples, that of whitehead type:
First, wash your face with a gentle cleanser. “Gentle” means that the formula of the cleanser is non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and alcohol-free. Wash your face using very warm water, cleansing the skin at least 20 seconds. After which, rinse thoroughly for 20 seconds too. Dry the skin area using a clean towel.

If you really want to make sure the pimplefilled area is really clean, you may opt to dab the pimple with cotton pad soaked in an all-natural ingredient. Witch hazel will do.
Second, run a part of a clean washcloth under very warm water. Apply the cloth directly to the pimple. This will open the skin pore and will make popping pimples less painful. Do the step for about a minute.
Now you are ready to pop your pimples. Place each tip of your index fingers on the sides of the pimple. Make sure you do this with clean hands. Then squeeze, pushing the fingertips towards each other. Do this very gently. Repeat this step until the pimples have popped. You will know if you succeeded when the pus and other dirt and impurities have burst out of the pimple.
After the pus and dirt burst out, wipe the pimple area with another cotton pad. If there is none available, use your finger to wipe them.

However, you need to repeat the squeezing part every 10 to 20 seconds to make sure you drain out the dirt and other impurities out of the pimple. Once you see blood coming out, then you have to stop. With a cotton pad wrapped around your finger, press gently the top of the pimple to stop it from bleeding.
Do not do anything to the pimple for two minutes. Then wash your face with warm water. After your skin was patted dry, apply aloe vera gel or other ointments onto the pimple. You may cover the area with a bandage as well.

Apply more aloe vera gel or ointment once or twice a day.

What are Infected pimples - How to Get Rid of Infected pimples?

Just how exactly pimples appear on your skin, and how do they get infected? Are there ways by which you can get rid of infected pimples?

Answers to the above questions will be discussed here. First, let us discuss how pimples appear on the skin.

Pimples are caused mainly by oil called sebum. To picture what happens: the pores or hair follicles on the skin have glands that make sebum. These glands are called sebaceous glands. The oil produced is usually beneficial as it lubricates the skin keeping it soft and preventing it from chapping or cracking.

Sebum, then, makes its way out the hair follicle and goes out to the skin surface to do its job of keeping the skin moisturized. But when sebum together with bacteria and dead skin cells that are shed everyday get clogged up in a hair follicle, which is the time when popping pimples or lesions appear on the surface of the skin.

Infected pimples are treatable so you need not dwell on their presence on your face. What you need to do to get rid of infected pimples is easy. Always make sure that you clean the skin twice a day with an unscented soap. After which, dry the affected area with the use of a soft towel. Be gentle with the affected area. Use soft towels, don’t rub it, and just pat it gently. Vigorous and frequent washing can be irritating to the skin. This may cause pimples to appear or more pimples to be infected.

Another main reason for having infected pimples is when people try to squeeze or pick thier pimples. Bear in mind that doing this won’t make you get rid of your infected pimples; but rather, causes more irritation and spread more infection. Squeezing or popping infected pimples can also result to permanent skin scars.

So how do you manage infected pimples? You may apply benzoyl peroxide to the infected pimples. The compound has a drying effect on the area to which it is applied to. Other than benzoyl peroxide, products that contain retinoids such as Retin-A are effective in clearing the skin pores of oil buildup and dead skin cells.

To fight the infected pimples, creams or lotions that contain antibiotics can prevent further pimple breakouts by killing and reducing the amount of bacteria present on the skin.

For more severe infected pimples where over-the-counter medicines are not much of a help, it is best to see a doctor or dermatologist. A doctor or dermatologist has the authority to give the bet kind of solution that will fight away your infected pimples. Another plus when visiting a doctor is that some pimples are actually blemishes that look like pimples but are actually rashes. These rashes are allergic reactions to hygiene products such as soaps and shampoos. The doctor can examine you if you indeed have skin allergies. Whatever the result of the test, your doctor will be the first person and the most knowledgeable in knowing how to address your skin problem.

The Toothpaste on Pimples Myth

Pimples or zits are very common not only to teenagers but even to some adult. In teenagers, hormones bring about zits while for adults pimples are caused by too much stress, improper hygiene and some other factors.

Teenagers like to experiment with various solutions just to get rid of pimples. And their favorite pimple removal solution is to apply toothpaste on pimples. Where did they get such idea? Well there was this one teen who said that she heard it from one model claiming that toothpaste can actually help in removing pimples. And of course you know teenagers if a pimple removal solution works on someone they idolize they would definitely imitate it without considering the consequences.

Although it is not yet clear where the “toothpaste on pimples” solution originated but still a lot of teenagers as well as adults use this solution as acne pimple home remedy for their pimple problems. — And the result? Well there are some who have gained favorable results but there also some unfortunate individuals that scarred their face on the process.

You see some toothpaste contains high level of hydrogen peroxide, which really helps in achieving that winning smile, but when applied on the face, works like an acid irritating and burning the skin. You might have removed the pimple but in place of it is a scar. If you think that a scar is better than a pimple then that is your choice. Just remember that toothpaste on pimples is not a very ideal pimple removal solution.

Another important thing that you should remember, acne is a different case from occasional bump or zit. So just imagine if you will use toothpaste on each pimple you will burn or scarred your whole face. Acne is a severe pimple problem that cannot be remedied with simple toothpaste on pimples solution. You need expert solution, one that is prescribed by a dermatologist.

What to do?
There is no one-size-fits-all solution so if someone says that toothpaste on pimples has rid him of his zits then lucky for him. However, there is no guarantee that it will work as well for you. And do you know why? Because each person has a different skin type, some react to toothpaste well while others not so well.

Most toothpaste contains menthol, which can really help in drying out the pimple. But remember menthol is not the only ingredient found in your toothpaste there are other chemicals added that are likely to irritate your skin. And aside from that, common sense will dictate that if toothpaste can really help in removing pimples then it should have been placed there on the package. There should be a note saying, ” works well on teeth and also on pimples.” Unfortunately there is no such note.

It is not advisable that you experiment applying various solutions on your face just to get rid of one or two zits. You might regret this at the end. To be sure consult a dermatologist so that you will be properly guided on the proper treatment to use.

As a home remedy for pimples, make sure that the affected and prone areas are always clean; wash them twice a day with unscented cleansers to remove oil and other impurities. But do not use strong, harsh ones as your face still needs a little amount of oil. Strong ones may cause your facial skin to dry up.

Over-the-counter medication is also an Pimples Acne-inc Treatment. Highly popular are those agents that contain benzoyl peroxide. The compound has an antibacterial effect that can dry out the skin and cause the shedding of surface layer of dead skin. This, in effect, makes it harder for pores to become clogged and prevent it to becoming breeding group for other infection.

The significant effects of the abovementioned Pimples Acne-inc Treatment take weeks, if not months, before they become visible. If you want, you may ask your dermatologist as to how to speed it up.

The lotion must be continuously used for six months though.

Oral pimple and acne treatments may also be used in treating acne-inc and pimples.

Oral antiobiotics, like tetracycline, can be used for inflammatory acne. They must be applied to the affected area daily for three months but the significant results may be visible only after four to six months. Note, however, that antibiotics do not prevent pores from becoming clogged so treating the acne-inc and pimples may be best used with benzoyl peroxide simultaneous with the antibiotics.

There are also oral contraceptive tablets especially helpful for women who have acne-inc and pimples. Combined pill hormone ethinylestradiol and cyproterone acetate stunts the male horomone activity and so is recommended for use of women.

Another topical acne treatment is isotretinion, which is an oral retinoid that works by drying up sebum secretions. It is usually prescribed to people that have severe forms of acne that have been resistant to other forms of treatments. However, this has side effects like liver disorder and depression. It is advisable not to take isotretinion when you are pregnant as it is dangerous for the baby inside the womb. In fact, this is only prescribed as Pimples Acne-inc Treatment under the supervision of dermatologists.

You may opt to combine the use of them or rotate the use of non-prescription medication in curing your acne-inc and pimples.
